GET ME A HANDKERCHIEF.....

I've gone plum crazy....bag crazy that is....

I've made another Halloween bag....from a .94 cent handkerchief....I have found that I love to sew...who would have guessed???.....although I'm an amatuer sewer (there's GOT to be a better way to spell that word) everytime I sit down with my sewing machine I learn something new....so maybe someday I'll be a real sewer (ick)....

I LOVE those black cats!!!....

After this one turned out so good (at least I think it is) I ran out and bought more handkerchiefs....they are the perfect size for this type of project....the new ones I bought have skulls and crossbones all over them and the hankies come in blue, red, and pink (I can't wait to make the pink one).....

Insomnia OR It's never to early to get prepared???

Actually, it's a little of both...While purusing my favorite craft site (http://www.craftster.org) I saw these awesome little "ribbon" bags....they were the cutest little things and I thought it would be neat to make a "themed" bag...like for my favorite holiday....Halloween...so I rushed out to the store and bought loads of orange and black ribbon, some nifty fabric....and made myself a bag...





I made it with Black and Orange ribbon...and orange Halloween print ribbon (it has tombstones and dead trees on it)...









The lining is sparkly and black and white with witches and black cats on it...it ties closed with a black ribbon...it's not very big but it's roomy

(It's hard to take photo's of yourself)...the satin ribbon photographs funky...it's not yellow at all...




my measurements for the pattern were a bit wonky, BUT, you live, you learn....my next one will be better....so this is what you get when you can't sleep and you wish Halloween was all year round....
